JEREMY & JEOVANNE

OUR BACKGROUND

Our founders bring a wealth of tennis expertise to the table! Not only are they incredible tennis athletes, they are also the masterminds behind Tennis Maverick, where they’ve trained over 500 players. They boast a treasure trove of impressive achievements, including:

Former national champion & #1 tennis player in Singapore.
One of only six ATP GPTCA certified coaches in Singapore.
Represented Singapore in numerous international competitions.
Multiple-time Singapore Open champion.
Certified by the International Tennis Federation (ITF), Professional Tennis Registry (PTR), and United States Tennis Association (USTA).
Ministry of Education (MOE) and NROC certified.
Official coach of the SMU Tennis Varsity Team, leading them to a gold victory.
Standard First Aid + CPR (AED) certified.

But at the core of their journey lies family. From a young age, they hustled hard, driven by a deep desire to give back to their families. This motivation led them to start coaching at a very young age (15 for Jeo!), using their passion for sports to support their loved ones. Inspired by this same drive, they later sought out a new sport to keep their mums active and engaged, which led them to pickleball—a game that not only captured their hearts but also became a shared passion within their family, paving the way for their next chapter.

FUN FACTS

Did you know? Jeremy is 1 of only 6 ATP GPTCA Tennis coaches in Singapore. He’s also personally PTR certified by Emma Wells, ITF certified, USTA certified, and the list goes on... He’s a coaching guru, having traveled the world to learn from the best, and he has brought that expertise back to Singapore. As the official coach for SMU’s varsity team (where he led them to a gold medal) and a certified personal trainer, he focuses heavily on holistic development. He has trained many people (both tennis & pickleball), to be great players and champions, including Jeovanne herself. Jeovanne cheekily says, “I thought I was the best coach until I met him!” But still, Jeremy insists she’s the real star. Jeremy has been Jeovanne’s tennis and pickleball coach for the past 2 years! According to her, he’s both the best coach and a total nagger!

Don’t be fooled by her age—Jeovanne is an absolute powerhouse! Born in 2001, Jeovanne has been a dominant champion since she was a child, winning every Singapore tennis tournament in sight - starting with Singapore’s National U10 at 9 years old, U12 at 10, U14 at 11, and taking home the U16 title at just 12! She was untouchable locally and she’s also made waves in international tournaments, snagging numerous titles abroad. As a tennis champion, she started coaching tennis at just 15 years of age and is now PTR, ITF, USTA certified. But the real showstopper? By 19, Jeovanne was working a full-time corporate job, coaching tennis 40 hours a week, running her own company, managing 3 businesses, all while pursuing a double degree at university. Talk about a superhuman hustle! Give her some love!

COMPETING, WINNING, INSPIRING

Inspired by a desire to keep their mums active and engaged, our founders sought out a new sport and that search led them to pickleball. Their love for pickleball grew as they traveled, competed, and eventually became professional players.

Our founders only picked up pickleball in November 2023, but they've hit the ground running! With their rapid mastery of the game, they’ve quickly risen through the ranks, earning numerous titles and podium finishes in international tournaments.

Today, they proudly hold the No. 1 rank in Singapore for all six categories in the Pickleball Global rankings—Men's Singles, Men's Doubles, Women's Singles, Women's Doubles, Mixed Doubles (Men’s), and Mixed Doubles (Women’s)—a testament to their dedication and expertise. They are also recognised among the top players in Asia and currently compete on the professional tour.

With years of experience in professional tennis coaching, our founders have taken their skills to the next level by diving into the exciting world of pickleball coaching.

They are 2 of only 4 coaches worldwide to hold the prestigious Pickleball Global Level 2 certification. Their coaching credentials extend even further, with certifications from the Professional Pickleball Registry (PPR) in Youth Development, along with qualifications from the Ministry of Education (MOE) and the National Registry of Coaches (NROC). They are also Standard First Aid and AED certified, ensuring a professional and safe training environment.

But they don’t stop at coaching players—they’re also inspiring and training fellow coaches to grow the game the right way!

THE HEART OF THEIR JOURNEY

Pickleball wasn’t about achievements or accolades for the founders of Performance Pickleball. What started as a few casual games quickly grew into something deeper—they fell in love with the sport not just for the fun rallies, but for the way it brought people together. Pickleball gave them moments of laughter, connection, and joy like no other.

They discovered pickleball’s true magic: how a simple paddle and ball could forge extraordinary connections. It became a way to build community, spark joy, and create spaces where everyone could feel welcome.

Oh, and both mums? Now officially pickleball addicts — mission accomplished — proving that it’s never too late to embrace a new love for movement.

A VISION TURNED REALITY

Inspired by their experiences abroad, the founders returned to Singapore with a vision to create something truly exceptional—Performance Pickleball, the nation’s first indoor-sheltered pickleball facility. Far more than just a place to play, it offers an all-encompassing experience for enthusiasts of all levels. With professionally-surfaced courts, a welcoming lounge area, and a fully stocked pro shop, Performance Pickleball sets the standard for excellence. What truly sets the Pickleball Club apart is its unparalleled programs thoughtfully crafted to inspire joy, foster growth, and ignite passion for the sport. Beyond the facilities and programs, the heart of Performance Pickleball lies in its vibrant community. By fostering an environment that celebrates joy, inclusivity, and the love for pickleball, the founders have created a space where players thrive, connect, grow, and share in the magic of the game.

Performance Pickleball officially opened its doors on July 14 2024, and in just six short months, it has become so much more than a pickleball facility—it’s a movement. Featured in The Business Times and recognised by the Singapore Tourism Board as the #1 destination for pickleball in the country and acknowledged by Sports Singapore as the ones at the forefront driving the growth of this sport, we take immense pride in our journey. Since our launch, we’ve introduced more than 2,000 people to pickleball through our Pickleball 101 and corporate events, spreading the joy of the game to players from all walks of life. The club has become the first stop for numerous professional players visiting the country. Along the way, we’ve been featured in media outlets and entrusted by leading brands to represent them as official distributors. But the real heart of our success lies in our community—a family of over 4000 members who now call Performance Pickleball their second home, united by their love for the game.

It hasn’t been an easy journey. From late nights spent perfecting programs to early mornings ensuring every detail of the facility was just right, the road has been challenging. But every moment has been worth it. Seeing players light up when they hit their first perfect shot, hearing the laughter that echoes across our courts, and watching strangers become friends over a shared love of the game—that’s why we do what we do. Pickleball isn’t just a sport; it’s a way to bring people together. And for us, it’s a reminder of what’s possible when you follow your passion, work hard, and stay true to your vision.
