1. How do we handle bad weather?
If we expect the court to be unplayable due to rain, lightning, or wet conditions, weâll notify you approximately 1 hour before your booking time. This is to help you avoid a wasted trip. That said, as we all know, the weather is beyond anyoneâs control. In the event of unforeseen circumstances or weather disruptions, the following cancellation policies will apply:
If the class/lesson is cut short and cannot resume:
⢠⹠<25% of the session completed â đ˘ Free pause or make-up session
⢠⹠25â50% of the session completed â đĄ 50% credits awarded based on session value (e.g. $45 credit if you're paying $360 for 4 sessions @ $90 each)
⢠⹠> 50% of the session completed â đ´ Session is counted in full
Likewise, if a class/lesson is paused due to rain but resumes:
⢠⸠Pause >75% of the session (i.e. <25% of the session completed) â đ˘ Free pause or make-up session
⢠⸠Pause 50-75% of the session (i.e. 25â50% of the session completed) â đĄ 50% credits awarded based on session value (e.g. $45 credit if you're paying $360 for 4 sessions @ $90 each)
⢠⸠Pause <50% of the session (i.e. >50% of the session completed) â đ´ Lesson is counted in full
đ Please wait for our update â We kindly ask that you avoid messaging us several hours in advance, as this makes it harder for us to manage real-time conditions effectively.
2. What if it starts raining during my session?
If rain begins mid-session, the rain policy will apply.
3. What if it's raining before my session?
If we expect the court to be unplayable due to rain, lightning, or wet conditions, weâll notify you approximately 1 hour before your booking time.
4. Can I cancel my class in advance if itâs been raining all day?
We evaluate court conditions hourly, not by the day.
For example, if your class is at 8 PM, we will provide an update around 7 PM.
If at 3 PM you decide to make alternative plans as you are sure the rain won't stop, thatâs your choice. However, if by 7 PM the court is playable (dry courts and rain-free), the class will be counted as per usual. If the court turns out to be unplayable at 7 PM as you predicted, then you can follow the instructions when the update is sent.

Important:
It is the enrolleeâs responsibility to ensure that the phone number in your app profile is correct and reachable via WhatsApp. This is how we will contact you for any updates, including weather advisories or cancellations. When things get busy (like on rainy days or cancellation days!), our team is juggling lots of moving parts, so we wonât be able to scroll back through old WhatsApp chats to double-check numbers. We rely only on the number youâve saved in the app. So please take a moment to make sure your details are up to date. It really helps us keep things running smoothly for you! đŚď¸đ˛
Q : đ Does this apply to Performance Pickleball (Boathouse), even though itâs indoor-sheltered?
A : Yes! What makes Performance Pickleball (Boathouse) truly special is its soaring 30-metre-high ceiling and open-sided design, allowing for fresh air, excellent ventilation, and natural lightâcreating a one-of-a-kind atmosphere for play. Thatâs why we proudly brand ourselves as 90% weather-proofâour unique setup handles most weather conditions with ease. On the rare occasion of strong winds and heavy downpour, light drizzle may drift in, but play / lessons typically continue without disruption. In the rare 10% instance where rain does come in to the extent that the coach / staff deems the court unplayable or unsafe, the same rain policy will apply.
Weather Contingency for Beach Club Lessons
Please note that at our Beach Club location, weather conditions can occasionally be unpredictable. In the event of rain, we may secure Changi Beach Clubâs badminton courts. While it is an additional cost to us, we do so to minimise cancellations, avoid wasted trips, and ensure program continuity and player progress. The use of the badminton court is subject to availability, as it is not part of our facility and cannot be guaranteed. By enrolling in or attending Beach Club group or private lessons, you acknowledge and agree that:
⢠If it rains and we are able to secure the badminton court, the class or lesson will proceed there instead of being cancelled or rescheduled.
⢠If the badminton court is not available, our regular rain policy will apply.
We appreciate your understanding as we make these arrangements in good faith to deliver consistency and value to your training experience.
