Question 2

What rules am I saying “yes” to when I book a court or play here?

When you book anything with Performance Pickleball —whether it’s a court, event, lesson, program, session, or workshop—you’re basically saying:
“Yes! I’ve read the rules, I agree to them, and everyone playing with me have agreed and will follow them too.”

As the Club User/Hirer, you’re in charge of your people. This means you’re responsible for making sure that everyone in your group has read and agreed to our membership agreement .

If someone in your group doesn’t like the rules, that’s totally fine—
 …but they shouldn’t enter, play, or participate. Easy!

These rules exist so everyone can have a safe, fair, and awesome time here. But if anyone (yep, including someone in your squad) breaks the agreement or ruins the experience for others, both they and the Club User/Hirer can receive an immediate suspension and a permanent ban from all Performance Pickleball clubs, programs, events, and brands.

So play fair, play safe, and keep the vibes good.
If following the rules isn’t your thing, that’s totally okay!
But also: this probably isn’t the place for you.

Question 3

What do I need to know before booking and using the courts?

Usage
Courts at Performance Pickleball are strictly for personal recreational play only—think fun, not business. Commercial, conflicting, paid, unauthorised activities are strictly off-limits.

Booking: 
All courts must be booked in advance through the app. You can see real-time availability and reserve your slot there. Walk-ins are not allowed—ever. Plan ahead, stay organised, and don’t try to sneak in!

Play nice: 
Everyone is expected to follow the rules and keep the session enjoyable for all. Anyone disrupting play or ignoring the rules may be removed without a refund, and in serious cases, both the offender and the Court User/Hirer can face a permanent ban from all Performance Pickleball's programs and facilities.

No tricks: 
Using a false identity, someone else’s account, or duplicate accounts is strictly forbidden, because this is a matter of safety, accountability, and respecting the rules. Anyone caught doing this will face immediate suspension and permanent ban, and the booking will be cancelled with no refund. By booking, you confirm that you’re using your own account, respecting booking limits, and following all rules.

Read before you play, play only if you agree: 
Before booking or arriving, make sure you’ve read and understood all rules, terms, and cancellation policies. By booking a court or turning up to play, you’re confirming you’re on board with all the rules.

What are your court booking hours—and when are peak hours?

We’re glad you asked—because pickleball never sleeps (well, almost never).

Our courts are generally open for booking: 
Mon-Thu: 9:00 AM – 12:00 AM
Fri-Sun: 8:00 AM – 12:00 AM

Who’s responsible for the court booking and guests?

When you book a court at Performance Pickleball by Umeus, you’re in charge of everyone in your booking!

Here’s what that looks like:
Ensure Everyone Agrees to the Rules : Make sure everyone knows and agrees to our rules, safety policies, and club requirements. ✅  All persons entering the facility or joining any of Performance Pickleball or Umeus' programs and events are deemed to have accepted our Terms & Conditions and Waiver and agree to abide by all club rules and policies. These can be found on our website and app.
Point of Contact : As the court booker, you are the point of contact for any changes or updates.  It is your responsibility to ensure that your app always displays your correct WhatsApp number so our team can reach you. If the number is incorrect or missing, we will not be able to provide you with important updates.
Stay on deck: The Court Booker must be present for the whole session. If you can’t make it, give us a heads-up on WhatsApp +65 88912037 with the name of the new designated Court Hirer. That person then takes over responsibility for the session and all participants.
Keep your crew in check: Any rule-breaking will fall on the Court Booker. Both the Booker and anyone misbehaving could face immediate suspension and a permanent ban from all Performance Pickleball and Umeus clubs, programs, and events.

Question 6

How many players are allowed per court booking? What if I have more than 8?

Accepted Answer

Each court booking covers up to 8 people / court. Got more joining your crew? No problem! It’s just $10 per additional person per hour. You can add extra people easily through our app when you reserve your slot. Note: Non-players and/or children who are coming for the booking also count toward the total headcount.

If your plans change and friends decide to join at the last minute, simply drop us a WhatsApp at +65 8891 2037 and we'll help you arrange the necessary top-up! We operate on a trust-based system, so all we ask is that you keep us informed. 😊 If additional participants attend without prior notification, we reserve the right to apply the relevant charges directly to your booking.

Court Capacity & Safety
For safety reasons, only 4 players are permitted on the court at any one time.
While waiting for their turn, the rest of your group is welcome to:
• Relax in the designated on-court waiting area
• Hang out in the lounge area

Respect booking times!

When Can I Play?
Only during your booked session. ⏰  Please use the courts only during your reserved booking time. Once your session ends, kindly vacate the court promptly, even if there is no booking immediately after yours. Likewise, if a court appears to be free before your session starts, please wait until your booking time begins before entering the court. If court time is used outside of the hours booked, we reserve the right to apply the full hourly court hire rate directly to your booking.

Want More Court Time?
Having too much fun to leave? We love that! 🎉 If you'd like to extend your session, please make your additional booking at least 5 minutes before your current session ends. If you've missed the booking window, feel free to WhatsApp us at +65 8891 2037 and we'll do our best to assist if a team member is available. While we can't guarantee extensions or immediate responses, we'll always try to help where possible.

That Court Looks Empty… Can I Just Use It?
Unfortunately, no. 🚫 An empty court does not mean it is available for use. The court may be reserved for upcoming bookings, maintenance, coaching sessions, or operational purposes. If you'd like to use an available court, please make a booking through the booking system before entering the court.

How can I check court availability?

All court availability and bookings at all our locations happen exclusively through our Performance Pickleball app and booking system. This keeps everything up-to-date in real time and prevents double bookings across multiple courts.

We don’t allow walk-ins, WhatsApp bookings, or manual checks — it keeps things fair and accurate for everyone, since court availability can change by the minute! ⏰

We want everyone to have a safe, welcoming, and fun experience at our club. Here’s how we make that happen:

Respect Everyone 👋 : Treat our staff, coaches, members, guests, and neighbours with kindness, courtesy, and respect at all times.
Any form of harassment, intimidation, discrimination, abusive language, threatening behaviour, or disrespect towards others may result in immediate suspension or a permanent ban from all Performance Pickleball and Umeus facilities, programs, and events.
Court Hirer Responsibility 🏷️ : If you booked the court, you’re responsible for your guests. Misbehaviour by your group counts as a breach by the Court Hirer, so please keep everyone in check!
Fair Play & Sportsmanship 🤝 : Play nice! Share the space, and stick to your booked session times.
Equipment & Drinks 🥤: We operate on a trust-based system and greatly appreciate your honesty and cooperation. Even when our team isn't on-site, we've made a selection of drinks, rentals, and convenience items available for your enjoyment. To keep this system running smoothly for everyone, please make payment via the PayNow QR code before taking any drinks or renting any equipment. Noise & Disruption 🚫 : While we love the energy of a great game, we ask all players to be mindful of noise. Excessive shouting or disruptive behaviour is not allowed—we want everyone to enjoy their game. Especially during late hours, please keep volume low after 10 PM out of respect for others around the facility. We reserve the right to request volume reduction or remove individuals who disregard repeated warnings.
Before You Leave 🚪: Please help us prepare the club for the next group by
Taking all personal belongings with you.
Disposing of rubbish in the designated bins outside the premises.
Returning any furniture or equipment to its original position.
If there is no booking immediately after yours, we'd greatly appreciate your help with:
Turning off all lights and fans.

Court Safety & Footwear Rules ⚠️

🚫 No Wall Hitting
Strictly no hitting balls against any walls. Please keep your shots on-court.

🏟️ Lost or Stuck Balls
Any balls that land and get stuck on the ledge at Boathouse or Beach Club or are otherwise unretrievable anywhere on the court are considered lost for good. ❌
Do not attempt to retrieve them by climbing, using sticks, or stepping on structures — it’s dangerous and a serious safety violation.
Violators may face fines 💸, bans from all Performance Group facilities ❌, potential reporting to the police if actions are deemed unsafe 👮

👟 Proper Court Footwear Only
All players must wear non-marking sports shoes.
Sandals, FitFlops, casual footwear, bare feet are strictly prohibited. Proper shoes protect the court surface and prevent damage.
If your shoes leave marks, scuff, or stain the court, you must stop play immediately.
Any damage caused by improper footwear will be charged to the responsible player.

Question 11

Can I bring my own coach or use ball baskets and machines during my court booking?

Accepted Answer

Unauthorised coaching is strictly forbidden—paid or unpaid.
No ball baskets, training aids, or ball machines without prior authorisation.
Violations have serious consequences: immediate termination of your booking with no refund, a $1000 penalty fee, and a permanent ban from all Performance Pickleball and Umeus facilities, programs, and events.
These rules exist to protect player safety, ensure fair use of courts, and maintain the professional standard of coaching at our club.

Question 12

Can I host a party or event at the facility?

During regular court bookings, hosting parties, and bringing outside food or drinks are not allowed—this helps us keep the space clean, safe, and enjoyable for everyone.

🍻 But if you're planning an event with us (corporate, birthday, team outing, etc.), you can absolutely have food—and yes, even booze! Just make a booking through our corporate/event booking, and we’ll help you put together a properly hosted celebration with the right setup, catering, and drinks.

Regular court bookings are for personal recreational use only. Commercial, conflicting, paid activities are strictly prohibited as well.

Let’s keep regular sessions focused on pickleball, and turn up the fun (responsibly) when it’s party time!

Question 13

Need paddles or balls? Do you offer rentals or purchase on site?

Absolutely! We have paddles available on-site for rental, so you can jump straight into the game.

Paddle Rental Rates (Per Session)
Entry-Level Paddle (Retail value: Under $100) - $5
Intermediate Paddle (Retail value: $100–$200) - $10
Pro Paddle (Retail value: Above $200) - $15

Even when our team isn't on-site, we made rental paddles available for your convenience. We operate on a trust-based system and greatly appreciate your honesty and cooperation. 
Paddles are clearly labelled as Entry, Intermediate, and Pro. Select your preferred paddle.
Make payment via the designated PayNow QR code before bringing the paddle onto the court.
Enjoy your game and return the paddle to its original location after use.

Note :
All rental equipment must be returned after use. 
Any rental equipment or that is lost, missing, stolen, or not returned at the end of the session will be charged to the booking holder at the retail cost of the item. We reserve the right to apply these charges directly to the booking.
Equipment should be returned in the same condition it was received, allowing for normal wear and tear. Damage resulting from misuse, negligence, or circumstances beyond normal wear and tear may result in repair or replacement charges.

Need Balls?
Pickleball balls are available for purchase on-site.
Like our rental system, ball sales operate on a trust basis. Prices are clearly displayed on-site.
Simply make payment via the PayNow QR code before bringing the balls onto the court, and they're yours to keep.

I would like to try a paddle. Do you offer demo paddles?

Yes, we do have demo paddles available!

We regularly organise dedicated demo days and demo sessions where players can try out a variety of paddles. To stay updated on upcoming demo opportunities, check out Umeus Club on Reclub and follow @performancepickleballshop on Instagram for the latest announcements.

If you'd like to try a demo paddle during your court booking or program session, we're happy to assist whenever a staff member is on-site and available. If you'd like to check in advance, feel free to WhatsApp us before your visit. Please note that staff schedules are subject to change based on operational requirements, so while we'll do our best to provide an accurate update, staff availability cannot be guaranteed until the day itself.

Cancellation and Rescheduling Policy

Please read the cancellation policy below, which is also shown on the booking page before you confirm your booking. Proceed only if you are fully comfortable and agreeable with the following terms.

Cancellation Policy for Starter Members
We’re excited to have you on court—but once a booking is made, it’s considered final. As a Starter Member, please note that court and program bookings are non-cancellable and non-reschedulable, so double-check those plans and all details before hitting “book”!
Can't make it? No worries, you can pass the fun along! If you’re unable to attend, you’re welcome to transfer your booking to another member. Just WhatsApp us at +65 8891 2037 with their full name and membership email, and we’ll get it sorted for you.
Absolute last resort : Cancelling :( If you really have to cancel, drop us a WhatsApp at +65 8891 2037. While we can’t offer a full refund, we may be able to offer a small token refund to your account credits to help soften the blow:
More than 1 week in advance – Up to 20% refund
More than 72 hours in advance – Up to 10% refund
Less than 72 hours – No refund, sorry! :(
No exceptions will be made to keep things fair and consistent for all members. Thank you for your understanding and cooperation! :)

We kindly ask that you don’t request exceptions, as it makes things difficult for our team and unfair to other members who follow the same policy. We honestly dislike having to say “no,” so thank you for helping us keep things fair for everyone.

If you can’t make it, the best way to avoid losing your booking is to pass it on to another member. That way, your slot still gets enjoyed and nothing goes to waste. We really appreciate your understanding and cooperation in keeping the experience smooth for all.

Can I change courts for the same time, date, and location?
If you’d like to change to a different court while keeping the same time, date, and location, we’ll do our best to assist. However, such changes are subject to court availability and our team’s bandwidth at the time of your request. Please make these requests in advance, as we may not always be able to accommodate last-minute changes. Performance Pickleball cannot be held responsible if we’re unable to process the switch. To avoid issues, we strongly recommend double-checking your court selection before confirming your booking. Kindly note that this flexibility only applies to court changes within the same time, date, and location. Requests involving cancellations, time changes, date changes, or location changes are not permitted, in accordance with our cancellation and rescheduling policy.

Question 16

How does waitlisting for a court work?

Accepted Answer

When a court slot is fully booked (shown in red), you can still join the waitlist for that time. No payment is taken — you’re simply asking to be notified when someone cancels. If a cancellation happens, the app will automatically notify everyone on the waitlist. From there, it’s a first-come, first-served dash — whoever books it first gets the court! 🏃💨

📝 How do I join the waitlist?

Slots shown in red are unavailable.
If you pick a red slot, the app will notify you that the court is unavailable and give you the option to join the waitlist.
Once you confirm, you’ll automatically be added — simple as that!

🔔 How will I get notified?
If someone cancels, the app will instantly notify everyone on the waitlist via email that the slot is now open. From there, it’s first come, first served — whoever books it first gets the court. You’ll need to book it again like a normal booking.

😅 I didn’t get any notification! When will I be informed if I get the slot or not?
You’ll only be notified if someone with that court booking cancels. If no one cancels, you won’t receive any notification — it simply means the slot stayed taken. Since cancellations are unpredictable and totally depend on the players who currently hold the booking, there’s no set time or guarantee for when (or if) you’ll get notified. If you really need a court, it’s best to grab an available slot (in black) instead of waiting on a waitlisted one (in red) — better to lock something in than wait and miss out! 💪

🏃 I got a notification but when I checked, the slot was taken!
That means someone else got there faster — sorry! Waitlist notifications go out to everyone at the same time, so the court goes to whoever books it first.

What is your weather & rain policy?

By booking or stepping onto any Performance Pickleball court, you agree that Mother Nature might have her say! 🌦️ Sometimes, rain or other environmental factors can make courts unplayable. If that happens, our Weather Policy kicks in to keep things fair and safe. In the event of rain or unforeseen disruptions, here's how refunds to account credits will apply: If your hour is cut short and cannot resume: ⏱ < 15 minutes played → 🟢 Full refund in credits ⏱ 15–30 minutes played → 🟡 50% refund in credits ⏱ > 30 minutes played → 🔴 No refund If play is paused but resumes later: ⏸ Pause < 30 minutes (i.e. >30 min of play) → 🔴 No refund ⏸ Pause 30–45 minutes (i.e. 15–30 min of play) → 🟡 50% refund in credits ⏸ Pause > 45 minutes (i.e. <15 min of play) → 🟢 Full refund in credits ✅ Important: We do not cancel bookings in advance due to weather conditions, as conditions can change quickly and play may still be possible. If rain clears and the courts are playable, the session will proceed as scheduled and remain chargeable. All approved wet weather credit refunds will be processed in your account within 2 business days. As the court booker, you are the point of contact for any changes or updates, including weather-related updates. It is your responsibility to ensure that your app always displays your correct WhatsApp number so our team can reach you. If the number is incorrect or missing, we will not be able to provide you with important updates. Q : 🏟 Does this apply to Performance Pickleball (Boathouse), even though it’s indoor-sheltered? A : Yes! What makes Performance Pickleball (Boathouse) truly special is its soaring 30-metre-high ceiling and open-sided design, allowing for fresh air, excellent ventilation, and natural light—creating a one-of-a-kind atmosphere for play. That’s why we proudly brand ourselves as 90% weather-proof—our unique setup handles most weather conditions with ease. On the rare occasion of strong winds and heavy downpour, light drizzle may drift in, but play / lessons typically continue without disruption. In the rare 10% instance where rain does come in to the extent that the court is unplayable, the same rain policy will apply.

The app won't let me book 3 hours! What's the maximum number of hours I can book?

As a Starter Member (free membership tier!), you get to book 2 hours a day and 8 hours a week of court time. Want to squeeze in more? Easy—just ask a buddy who’s also coming down to make the extra booking. (Quick reminder: the person who books the court has to be present!)

👥 How many friends can play?
Each court booking covers up to 8 players. Got more joining your crew? No problem! It’s just $10 per additional person per hour. You can add extra players easily through our app when you reserve your slot.

If plans change and friends join last-minute, you can also top up on the day of play— All we ask is: let us know at check-in if you’ve got more than 8 people so we don’t have to run around mid-game chasing you for head counts 🙃. That way, you play more, we chase less—win-win!

Question 19

Play at Your Own Risk

Yes! By entering any Performance Pickleball location or participating in activities, you agree to play at your own risk and take full responsibility for your own safety. 🎾 Pickleball is fun, but it’s a sport—and like any sport, there are inherent risks, including injury, illness, or worse. Always play within your abilities and control.

Please note: there is no certified first aider on-site, so we strongly recommend all players have their own personal accident or sports insurance. 🏥

All waiver, privacy policy, and terms & conditions are clearly outlined in our membership agreement, which all players are required to sign before playing.

⚠️ If you do not agree with any part of the terms, waiver, or privacy policy, do not sign or play. Participation is voluntary, and you should only play if you fully understand and accept all terms.

Are there any cleanliness guidelines I should follow at the club?

Yes! We’re a community-driven club, and keeping our space clean helps everyone enjoy it more.

After your session, just follow these simple steps:
Take all personal belongings with you.

Do I need to add my friends to the booking? 🤔

Accepted Answer

There is no need too! However, you can feel free to add your friends to the booking so they can receive the booking details directly. This will also allow them to unlock the door using their own booking should they arrive before you or separately from the group!

When and how can I access the club?

Accepted Answer

Facility access is available 10 minutes before your booking time.

Simply open your booking in the app and tap the “Unlock Door” button to enter the main entrance.

Please note that the unlock function only becomes active 10 minutes before your scheduled time. If you arrive earlier, we kindly ask you to wait outside the club until access is available.

Is there staff available on-site?

Our clubs are designed to operate on a self-service, trust-based system, so you can typically access the venue and manage your booking independently by unlocking the door via the app.

If you need assistance at any point, you can always WhatsApp us at +65 8891 2037, and our team will be happy to help.

Staff may be present on-site from time to time, depending on operational requirements and scheduled activities, but this is not guaranteed at all times.

Can I get a receipt for my booking?

The receipt is automatically generated by the booking system.
To access it in the app:
Go to your Profile (bottom right).
Tap Settings (top right, next to your membership QR code).
Select Payments > Payment History.
Choose the relevant booking — the full receipt should load from there.
