Club Rules & Membership Agreement
Respect the rules, enjoy the game, and ensure a great experience for all!
(A) Club & Membership Terms and Conditions
1. Acceptance of Terms
By booking a court, lesson, or event with Performance Pickleball and/or Umeus, you agree to uphold these standards in full. To protect the integrity of our community, any intentional circumvention of these rules will result in immediate account deactivation and a permanent ban from all Performance Pickleball and Umeus activities.
2. The Fair-Play Guarantee
To ensure our courts remain a safe, professional, and accountable space, the individual making the reservation (the “Club User/Hirer”) is responsible for the conduct of all participants.
-
The Membership Check-In: Every player must have an active membership, be aware and agree to the membership agreement, and scan their membership QR code at the front desk before entering the courts.
-
Identity Integrity: Using a false identity or duplicate accounts to bypass booking limits isn't just a rule break—it’s unfair to the other members waiting for a slot. To protect fair access, both the Booker and any participants involved in "account sniping" or "identity sharing" will face immediate, permanent account deactivation.
-
Authorised Use: Club bookings are for personal recreational use only. Unauthorised commercial or paid sessions (including those organized via Reclub or similar third-party platforms) are strictly prohibited to protect the professional standards of our facility.
-
T&C and Waiver: Your safety is our priority. Entering the club signifies that you (and any guests under your booking) have read and accepted our terms and conditions and safety waiver.
3. Membership Requirements
Performance Pickleball is a private, members-only club. Every individual—including those using the lounge or recovery zones—must have a valid membership (Free or Paid) via the Performance Pickleball App. This ensures that everyone on-site is accounted for and committed to our Community Standards.
-
Junior Players: Guests under 18 may enter under the supervision of a booking adult. The adult assumes full responsibility for the minor's safety and conduct.
4. Program Booking Terms
-
The Professional Environment: To maintain our elite coaching standards, an active membership is required for all lessons, clinics, workshops, and recovery sessions.
-
No Walk Ins: To ensure a seamless experience for our students and coaches, advance booking is mandatory. To protect the quality of our scheduled sessions, walk-in participation is strictly not permitted under any circumstances.
-
Our Commitment to Clarity: Each program is designed with specific goals and requirements. Detailed registration processes, terms, and cancellation policies are provided on each program’s dedicated page. We encourage all participants to familiarize themselves with these details before booking to ensure the program is the right fit for your goals.
-
The Progress Pledge: By enrolling in a Performance program, you are committing to our standards of play and conduct. This helps us ensure a productive environment for every student.
-
Protecting the Session: Our coaches are here to help you level up. To protect the learning environment for everyone, any behavior that disrupts a session or disregards our Academy rules may result in removal from the program without a refund. For the continued integrity of our programs, serious or repeat disruptions may lead to a permanent deactivation of your account across all Performance Pickleball and Umeus brands.
5. Court Booking Rules
5.1 Respecting the Court (Usage Policy)
-
A Community Sanctuary: To protect the recreational spirit of our club, courts are strictly for personal use. Unauthorized commercial sessions or paid group play (including those organized via third-party platforms like Reclub) are prohibited to ensure our facility remains a space for our members, not outside businesses.
-
The Fair Access App: To ensure real-time transparency for all 40,000 members, all bookings must be made in advance via our app. This prevents the "guesswork" of walk-ins and guarantees your slot is secured.
-
Integrity of Identity: To ensure every member has an equal chance at peak slots, we strictly prohibit the use of duplicate accounts or false identities. To protect our community from predatory booking practices, both the account holder and participants involved in "sniping" or "identity-sharing" will face immediate, permanent account deactivation. Your booking confirms you are playing as yourself.
5.2 Your Role as Host (Booking Responsibilities)
-
The Club User/Hirer: As the host of your session, you are responsible for the well-being and conduct of your guests. We ask that you ensure all your players are active members, have checked in at the front desk, and are familiar with our community standards.
-
Presence & Accountability: To maintain a high standard of play, the Court Hirer must be present for the session. If you can’t make it, simply WhatsApp us (+65 8891 2037) to designate a new host so we can keep the session active and accountable for everyone.
5.3 Optimising the Space (Player Limits)
-
The Comfort Standard: Every booking comfortably covers up to 8 players. For the safety of everyone on-site, we maintain a "4 On-Court, 4 Off-Court" rotation. This ensures players on adjacent courts aren't crowded and everyone has a safe space to move.
-
Group Play: For larger gatherings (8+ players), an additional $10 per person/hour fee applies. Taking care of this before your session begins helps us keep our front desk clear and focused on welcoming the next group—we truly appreciate your partnership in this!
5.4 Honoring the Schedule (Timing & Courtesy)
-
Fair Play Timing: Our facility runs on a precise schedule to ensure every member gets the full hour they paid for. Please treat the courts with respect by entering only at your booked time and vacating promptly at the end of your session.
-
The Unoccupied Court Rule: Even if a court looks empty, please refrain from using it unless it is explicitly booked. This allows our staff to maintain the facility between sessions and ensures no one "jumps the queue" on fellow members.
-
Unauthorized Usage: Using the courts outside of your reserved window (starting early or ending late) disrupts the flow for everyone. Such usage will be charged at the full hourly rate. Repeat instances (2+) lead to deactivation, as we must protect the booking rights and fairness our community values.
6. Club Rules & Usage Guidelines
6.1 Conduct & Etiquette
Our club is a community built on mutual respect. We expect all players to display the highest standards of sportsmanship. Rude behavior, harassment, or intimidation toward staff or fellow members disrupts the environment we have built together and will result in suspension or deactivation of your account.
6.2 Academy and Coaching Standards
To protect the quality of instruction and the safety of our players, only Performance-Certified coaches are permitted to lead sessions.
-
Professional Site-Use Fee: Unauthorised commercial coaching (paid or unpaid) is strictly prohibited. Engaging in such activity will result in immediate termination of the booking and a $1,000 Professional Site-Use Fee, followed by a permanent deactivation of your account. This fee ensures our facility remains dedicated to our certified Academy programs.
-
The use of ball baskets, training aids, or ball machines is also not permitted without prior authorisation.
6.3 Commercial Integrity Policy
-
Courts are strictly for personal, recreational use only.
-
No use of courts for individual or unauthorised conflicting or commercial purposes is permitted — including but not limited to:
-
Paid or organised social play sessions (including but not limited to Reclub or similar platforms) — Members and guests are strictly prohibited from booking courts for the purpose of organising paid or monetised games, matches, or group sessions. This includes situations where individuals or groups:
-
Collect fees, donations, or “shared costs” from participants to profit or offset booking costs;
-
Advertise, list, or promote their sessions publicly (e.g. on WhatsApp groups, Reclub, PlayTime Scheduler, or social media) to attract players;
-
Represent the session as part of a brand, club, or organized community that is not affiliated with or approved by Management.
-
In short, you may not book a court and then advertise or run it as a paid or semi-commercial event in any capacity. Courts are for personal recreational play only, not to generate income, grow a private following, or operate independently of the club’s programs.
-
Paddle or equipment demos, trials, or sales.
-
Reselling or subletting court bookings at marked-up prices
-
Hosting private games, parties, or events without management approval
-
Conducting or advertising paid coaching, training, or pickleball clinics
-
Filming or creating commercial content (e.g. promotional videos, product endorsements, influencer collaborations)
-
Any other profit-generating, brand-promotional, or business-related activity carried out on-site without prior written consent from Management
-
All forms of commercial activity on the premises must have explicit written approval from Management.
To protect our community from third-party exploitation, any unauthorized commercial activity will result in the immediate and permanent deactivation of the booker's account.
6.4 Noise Policy
We love a lively game, but we are a part of a larger neighborhood. After 10:00 PM, we keep noise levels low to respect our neighbors. Please keep shouting and music to a minimum so we can all continue to enjoy this space long-term.
-
Staff reserve the right to request volume reduction or remove individuals who disregard repeated warnings.
6.5 Refreshments
To keep our high-performance courts in pristine condition, outside food and sugary drinks are not permitted (only plain water and 100 Plus Zero are allowed).
-
Cleaning & Restoration Fee: Non-compliance incurs a $100 Cleaning & Restoration Fee and potential account suspension. This allows our team to maintain the professional surface.
-
Any damage or stains to courts, nets, or furniture will be chargeable to the responsible party.
-
Food and beverage are only permitted for private or corporate events, which must be booked through our official event booking service. Approved events will receive separate F&B guidelines outlining permitted areas, setups, and clean-up responsibilities.
6.6 Equipment Rentals : Maintaining Performance Gear
We provide high-quality professional paddles and balls to help you get the most out of your session. Because we invest in top-tier gear to enhance your game, we appreciate your help in keeping it "match-ready" for the next player.
-
Booking Convenience: Rentals can be added during your initial court booking. If your plans change on-site, our staff will gladly assist with last-minute rentals, subject to availability.
-
The "Gear Integrity" Policy: To ensure every player receives equipment in perfect condition, we ask that you return all items promptly after your session.
-
Replacement Costs:
-
Lost or Unretrievable Balls: Any ball that is lost or hit into non-retrievable areas (ledges, ceilings, etc.) incurs a $2 replacement fee.
-
Paddle Care: We understand that paddles experience natural wear and tear during play. However, any damage beyond normal use (e.g., physical impact damage from walls or floors, or improper handling) will incur a repair or replacement fee, as assessed by our staff.
6.7 Court Safety
To ensure every match is safe and our space is well maintained, we strictly adhere to the following facility regulations:
-
The No-Wall-Contact Rule: For the integrity of our structure and your own equipment, please refrain from hitting balls against any facility walls.
-
The "Ledge Safety" Standard: For your physical safety, any ball that hits a ledge, ceiling, or becomes unretrievable is strictly off-limits. Due to the high ceilings and delicate structural safety requirements, please do not attempt to retrieve these balls by climbing, using sticks, or stepping on structures. Your safety is our priority; please do not put yourself at risk for the sake of a ball. Any attempt to bypass this safety protocol is considered a serious violation and will result in immediate account deactivation.
-
Professional Surface Care: Our courts feature professional-grade surfaces designed for performance. To maintain this quality:
-
Approved Footwear Only: Only non-marking, dedicated court shoes are permitted. Sandals, FitFlops, or street shoes are strictly prohibited as they can damage or scuff the surface.
-
Damage Responsibility: If your party is found to be damaging the any part of the facility, play must cease immediately. Any damage caused will be charged to the responsible party at the cost of professional restoration.
6.7 Dedicated Facilities & Restricted Zones
To ensure every member has a clear and seamless experience, please note the following:
-
Adjacent Facilities (Basketball Court): The basketball court adjacent to the Boathouse is operated independently and is not part of our facility. Please direct all inquiries or bookings for that court to their respective management. Unauthorized entry is considered trespassing by the facility owners.
-
The Beach Club Recovery Zone: Our recovery area at the Beach Club is a dedicated, private space designed for specialized wellness. Access is exclusive to members with a valid Recovery Membership or valid entry pass.
-
Maintaining Privacy & Peace: To ensure the recovery zone remains a professional and peaceful sanctuary, entry without a valid pass is strictly prohibited. Unauthorized entry will result in a $500 Site-Integrity Fee.
-
Booking Requirements: Please ensure you have secured your specific recovery access before entering the zone. We appreciate your respect for the privacy and experience of our wellness members.
6.8 The Club Atmosphere
To ensure a consistent, professional, and enjoyable environment for everyone on-site, our integrated speaker system is reserved exclusively for staff use.
-
Curating the Vibe: We carefully manage our club's atmosphere to keep the energy lively and aligned with our Performance standards. As such, we cannot accommodate personal device connections to the audio system.
-
Events & Private Bookings: If you are hosting a corporate or private event and require custom audio, we offer professional speaker and microphone rental packages. Please ensure these are pre-booked through our official events service so we can set up the perfect soundscape for your gathering.
6.9 Weather Conditions & Rain Policy
-
Nature’s Variables : By booking or entering any Performance Pickleball location, you acknowledge and accept that play may be affected by weather conditions. In the event that courts become unplayable due to rain or other environmental factors, our Rain Policy will apply.
-
The Rain Policy : Because each program (Academy vs court rental vs events etc) has different operational requirements, please refer to the respective program’s FAQ on our website: www.performancepickleball.org.
-
Participation: All play is at your own risk. Performance Pickleball is not liable for accidents or losses occurring on-site. We appreciate your resilience and understanding as we navigate these rare environmental conditions together.
-
Note: The respective rain policies also apply to Performance Pickleball (Boathouse). As stated on our website, while our Boathouse location features an open-sided, 30-metre-high-ceiling design that is approximately 90% weather-resistant and built for excellent ventilation, rare instances of strong wind or heavy rain may cause light rain to enter the courts. Play typically continues without interruption. However, if weather conditions render the courts unplayable, the respective Rain Policy will apply.
6.10 The Community Cancellation & Rescheduling Policy
We understand that plans change, but every empty court is a missed opportunity for another member of our community. To keep our scheduling fair and consistent, we adhere to the following standards, which is also presented prior to booking on our app for easy reference. Please proceed only if you are comfortable and agreeable with the terms.
-
Starter Members: If you are on our Starter Member tier, all bookings are considered final upon confirmation. We encourage you to double-check your schedule before hitting “Book.”
-
The "Pass-It-On" Transfer: Can’t make your session? Don’t let the court go to waste! You can transfer your booking to another member (provided they are within their booking limits). Just WhatsApp us at +65 8891 2037 with the new player’s details, and we’ll handle the rest. This is the best way to ensure the slot is still enjoyed!
-
Community Credits: While we do not offer full refunds, we provide token credits to your account for cancellations made in advance, which can be applied to future sessions:
-
More than 1 week ahead: 20% token credit.
-
More than 72 hours ahead: 10% token credit.
-
Less than 72 hours: No credit available.
-
Fairness for All: We do not make exceptions to these policies. Creating exceptions undermines the fairness of the booking system for the members who organise their lives to play with us. We kindly ask that you do not request exceptions, as our team is dedicated to applying these standards consistently to protect the experience of the entire community.
-
Court Changes (Same Date, Time & Location): If you need to switch to a different court at the same date, time, and location, we will do our best to assist, subject to availability. Please note that cancellations, date shifts, or location changes are not permitted, and we cannot be held responsible if our team's bandwidth does not allow for last-minute modifications.
7. Shop Hours & Purchases
Our shop are open during staff operating hours, which generally align with scheduled court bookings, programs, or events.
-
If you’re planning to visit for in-store purchases, paddle demos, or gear pickups, we require you to text us at +65 8891 2037 ahead of time to confirm staff availability.
-
Shop Online 24/7: For maximum convenience, our full catalog of paddles, apparel, grips, and essential accessories is available via our website. Browse anytime, from anywhere.
-
Why Shop with Us? Every item in our shop is selected for performance, not just popularity. Whether you are a casual player or a dedicated enthusiast, we ensure you’re equipped with gear that helps you level up.
