🔴 RED – Unsafe / >70% unplayable

- [Boathouse] As you know, Boathouse is 90% weatherproof. Current conditions fall in the rare 10% — heavy rain and strong winds have left our courts wet and unplayable.

🟠 ORANGE – Caution / Courts likely wet
- Grey area — some players will still want to play, while others may prefer not to depending on personal comfort level.
- It rained earlier, now light drizzle, courts still wet
- Light drizzle just started
- Rain stopped, but courts still damp

🟡🟢 YELLOW-GREEN – Almost clear / Playable with caution
- Rain has stopped, courts drying ☀️💦
- Light drizzle that is clearing 🌤️
- No rain yet, but other parts of Singapore raining 🌧️; conditions may change
- [Boathouse] Rain came in earlier, but the courts are drying and slightly damp ☀️💧

What Happens When It Rains?

The weather and rain policy varies based on the type of booking (e.g. court booking, lesson, event) and is outlined in the respective program’s FAQ on our website. As always, before booking, we remind all players to familiarise themselves with the FAQs and policies and only proceed if you and your guests are fully comfortable with the rules.

Q : Does this apply to Performance Pickleball (Boathouse), even though it’s indoor-sheltered?

A : Yes! What makes Performance Pickleball (Boathouse) truly special is its soaring 30-metre-high ceiling and open-sided design, allowing for fresh air, excellent ventilation, and natural light—creating a one-of-a-kind atmosphere for play. That’s why we proudly brand ourselves as 90% weather-proof—our unique setup handles most weather conditions with ease. On the rare occasion of strong winds and heavy downpour, light drizzle may drift in, but play / lessons typically continue without disruption. In the rare 10% instance where rain does come in to the extent that the coach / staff deems the court unplayable or unsafe, the same rain policy will apply.

Communication During Rain

We generally try to send a text ~1 hour before your session with clear instructions on how to respond. In this message, we’ll provide the weather status as well (RED, ORANGE, or YELLOW-GREEN). To understand what each status means, please see the Weather Status Guide above.
Please note that our team may not be able to reply or process responses immediately, as we’re coordinating and contacting everyone in the same booking slot, as well as our on-site staff and managing the conditions as well. You can rest assured: as long as you reply, we will process your request as soon as we can. Your patience is appreciated!
Weather is unpredictable and is not the easiest to manage. Our team works hard to create clear policies and processes, notify you in advance, and handle all requests systematically so we can support everyone fairly. We truly appreciate your patience and understanding — we know rain cancellations can be frustrating, but we’re doing our best to make things as smooth as possible for everyone!
