We are beyond thrilled to share that Performance Pickleball has been featured on Pickleball News Asia!

Our co-founders, Jeremy Soh and Jeovanne Poernomo, recently sat down with Pickleball News Asia to discuss their passion for the sport and how Performance Pickleball is shaping the pickleball community in Singapore. Their journey, dedication, and vision for growing the sport locally were highlighted in the feature, shedding light on the impact our club is making in fostering a love for pickleball.

When Pickleball News Asia dubbed Performance Pickleball as "the pickleball facility Singapore deserves", they weren’t exaggerating. Performance Pickleball has transformed Singapore’s pickleball scene, offering a professional-grade space that welcomes players of all levels—novices, pros, and everyone in between.

Growing Pickleball in Singapore

For years, Singaporean picklers have made do with adapted badminton courts or makeshift playing areas due to space constraints in the city-state. Performance Pickleball changed the game entirely by introducing two professionally surfaced hardcourts, utilizing the same surface as those found in the Southeast Asia ATP and WTA Tour for tennis. This upgrade has provided players with an unmatched experience, making every game feel elite.

Building a dedicated pickleball facility in Singapore wasn’t easy. As Jem noted, Singapore’s limited land availability makes it challenging to construct specialized sports venues. Unlike neighboring Malaysia, where land is abundant and costs are lower, Singapore's land-use policies add layers of complexity to such projects.

Yet, Jem and Jeo were undeterred. Driven by sheer passion for the sport, they brought Performance Pickleball to life. Love makes you do grand, great things.

Today, Performance Pickleball isn’t just a facility—it’s a movement. It has "shook the ground," bringing greater attention to the sport and inspiring more people to take it seriously. A coach for the SMU varsity team, predicts continued growth, with increasing numbers of Singaporeans discovering and embracing pickleball.
