The Engage Pursuit Pro series has been a fan favorite, known for its unmatched power and precision. Now, Engage is taking it up a notch with brand-new shapes designed for even better performance. If you loved the original Pursuit Pro 1, you’ll want to see what’s new!
Not only is Engage one of the rarest brands that’s Made in the USA, but it also delivers the most powerful USAPA and UPA-approved paddles. Let’s break down the latest shapes and why they might be the game-changer you’re looking for.
What’s New? The Pursuit Pro’s Upgraded Shapes
Engage has introduced 2 shapes, both with 2 varying thickness, each fine-tuned for a specific playing style:
Hybrid
The Pursuit Pro1 Hybrid Paddle is a version of the Pro1 with an even lower balance point for faster hand speed and features a versatile design that supports both offensive and defensive strategies, with its shape designed to combine power, spin, and control for maximum all-around playability.

Attribute: All-Around Playability
Player Type: For players looking for the perfect balance of power, hand speed, control, and defensive ability. They attack when the opportunity arises but also know how to move the ball around, reset, and stay in points when pressured.
Widebody
This paddle shape takes the Hybrid model further with even greater maneuverability, lower balance point, and a larger sweet spot. The Pursuit Pro1 Widebody Paddle offers a wider hitting surface with enhanced control and precision for ultimate placement and resets, engineered for increased swing speed and enhanced hand agility while delivering maximum forgiveness and precise control.

Attribute: Control & Precision
Player Type: Players who analyse their opponent’s weaknesses, and create openings before delivering the final put-away. They prefer a lower balance point for extreme maneuverability, allowing for precise resets and control over the game’s tempo.
Breaking Down the Naming – What Does “6.0” Mean?
Yes, the names can get confusing, but here’s the simple breakdown:
6.0 paddles are thicker, offering more stability and control.
Non-6.0 paddles are thinner, designed for speed and power.
The Hybrid 6.0 provides a thicker core for better touch and stability while the Hybrid features the same hybrid shape, but with a thinner core for more speed. For the Widebody, its 6.0 model offers extra surface area for faster hand battles and more forgiveness while the normal version allows for a balance of power, control, and maneuverability.

That said, each model and variation of thickness serves its own purpose and the right one for you depends on your individual playing style, skill level, and personal preferences. Finding the perfect paddle is a highly personal choice, and trying out different options is key to discovering which one best suits your playing style and enhances your performance on the court!
